The challenge
Where sales go wrong in hvac & home comfort.
Rental and lease agreements
Long-term equipment rentals carry monthly charges and buyout terms that homeowners can misremember. Confirmed, signed terms avoid disputes years down the road.
Regulatory restrictions on in-home contracting
Provinces across Canada regulate in-home and door-to-door sales of home comfort equipment, from cancellation rights to outright restrictions, such as Ontario's 2018 limits on contracting for water heaters, furnaces and air conditioners at the door. Documenting how and when the customer agreed matters more than ever.
Rebate and program eligibility
Heat pump and efficiency programs come with eligibility rules. Confirming what the customer was told keeps expectations realistic.
Commission integrity
When commissions depend on a clean sale, a verified customer confirmation gives operations, sales and accounting one shared source of truth.
Across Canada
Home comfort rules are tightening across Canada.
Several provinces now ban or restrict door-to-door sales of furnaces, air conditioners and water heaters, and all of them give customers the right to cancel direct sales. A VerifiMe questionnaire for each province confirms how the sale started, what the customer was told and what they agreed to.

| Quebec | Itinerant merchants need a licence from the Office de la protection du consommateur, and customers can cancel itinerant contracts within 10 days.
